The donation and packing volunteer efforts are organized through signup genius. There is a group called "Let's Lend a Hand" that is organizing this. They add days and slots as needed, so it's a link that should be checked back on often.

Dropping off food is done during specific times (see sign-up genius). They get the cars offloaded pretty quickly.

For food delivery, I am managing that part of the picture. If you want to join in the delivery team, just message me and I'll loop you in.

She is also a volunteer with Friends of Miami-Dade Detainees - a “non-profit organization that advocates for local immigrants and people in immigrant detention centers throughout South Florida.” She shares about her time working with those being held in detention centers, and how the pandemic is exacerbating already existing problems within the system.
